In this article, we explain how Users can include outside-of-Learn CPD qualified details into their learning record. For example Users may have attended external learning events, conferences or read industry articles that otherwise would not be shown in Learn. To account for this, they can use the 'Add my learning' feature, entering the hours and minutes spent on CPD activities.
This ensures an accurate overview of Users CPD activities, visible in CPD reports, offering a comprehensive summary for tracking and assessing CPD usage within the organisation. This helps administrators when assessing CPD activity or for reporting to stakeholders. The User can document their complete CPD activities to fulfill the required amount within a CPD period, showcasing all their efforts.
Steps for a User to add CPD achievements
- In the student view of Learn on the home page, select 'add my learning' and then select either 'Add learning' or 'Add your learning' from the visible options
- Only if the User is assigned to a current CPD Programme will the option to link the learning to a CPD Programme be available. Enter the details of the CPD activity, including the number of hours (the number of hours will contribute to the Users CPD target
- Select 'Save' to submit the details against the User's learning record
