Choose if a Course is created when importing content
It is now possible to choose if a Course should be created when content is imported to Learn LMS. Previously, a Course was always created - and this meant that sometimes, an administrator would need to remember to delete a Course if it wasn't required. Now, you have the choice!
If the content you're importing will be assigned to an existing Course, simply uncheck the 'Create new course' box during the import process. Or, leave the option checked and Learn will create a Course, already assigned to your new content and ready to share with your people.
The above feature applies to imports of SCORM, PDF, XLS, PPT and Word files. Using a separate process, it is also possible to import MP4 and MOV files into Learn LMS.
Your learners can also upload videos to Learn with User-generated content. It's a great way to share and retain knowledge and expertise around the organisation.
Bug fixes and improvements
Issues fixed in this release include:
- Some customers saw the screen jump briefly when moving between pages
- Some certificates were not loading as expected
- Videos could not be uploaded into some Learn sites
Changes to the way in which you import results
We have also made an optional change to the lesson history import process which you can choose to adopt. Currently, importing lesson history will clear down existing results held for a person for that lesson if a new result is imported for that lesson and person.
If you wish to prevent this happening - and therefore enable the retention of all results post import - then please go into the Settings area of Learn and Other settings and change the Learn.StopClearingHistoryOnLearningRecordImport from 'false' to 'true'.
