In this article, we'll show where default settings can be defined for reminder notifications throughout Learn, for example, Accreditation reminders and Course deadline reminders. Administrators can create a custom notification schedule for each instance in which it is triggered. If a custom schedule is not created, then notifications will be sent according to the default schedule.
By default, notifications will be delivered via email, and also via the messages panel in Learn. View the 'Email settings article for more information. It is also possible to configure notifications to be delivered via Microsoft Teams.

Steps to view and edit the default notification schedule
- In Learn admin, browse to settings:
- Select 'Email' from the Settings administration menu. Scroll to the end of the page to see 'Notification settings'. Set the schedule for how you want emails to be sent by default:
- Select 'Submit' to save the changes
The default notification settings include the option to notify a User when enrolled in a Course. This includes all mandatory, and all optional Courses. For that reason, select this option with caution - it can result in a significant number of emails being sent to learners. It is, however, possible to send an enrolment notification for specific Courses only. Check out this Academy content to find out more.
