In this article, we'll show how to view and amend the 'send from' and 'reply to' email addresses configured for your Learn LMS. We'll also explain how to add a BCC address into all emails.
System-generated email notifications are sent by the Kallidus batch processor, and Users are not expected to reply. We recommend that a genuine address is entered, for example, a generic admin team address, in case Users do reply and expect a response.
The 'send from address' is the email address which will appear as the sender for all automated notifications. If your people reply to this automated email, the 'reply to' email is the address to which any replies will be sent. Note that:
- The 'send from' email address must be known to your IT department so that emails are not considered to be spam and subsequently blocked
- The default 'Reply to' address will apply to all emails, however, an administrator can change the default for individual templates.
Steps to view the 'send from' email address
To make a change to the 'send from' address in your Learn, contact the Support team. Follow the below steps to see the email address currently set up as the 'send from':
- In Learn admin, browse to settings:
- Select 'Email' from the Settings administration menu. The 'send from' address will be visible at the top of the page. Here, it is also possible to specify a default 'reply to' address for all automated emails/notifications, and a BCC email for all ad hoc emails/notifications:
