In this article, we'll explain what the 'still processing' message means, along with when and why it occurs. We'll also show how to check if any Courses or Lessons are currently processing, and when to contact the support team.
When the 'still processing' message appears
SCORM, PDF, XLS, PPT and Word files can all be imported into Learn LMS. For smaller files like a PDF or XLS, the import will be completed almost straight away.
The 'Still processing' message appears when Learn LMS is processing larger files, typically SCORM eLearning. During this time, administration options for the Course/Lesson will not be available.
Note:
- there is no need to wait until processing is complete to import more content - Learn LMS will queue up the content and import it in order
- Files over 400mb cannot be processed with the upload wizard, if you have a file over this size then get in touch with the support team for further assistance
- While content is being processed, both the Course and Lesson will appear as 'Not enabled'
How to check if any Courses or Lessons are currently processing
An administrator can check for ‘processing’ Courses and Lessons at any time. Navigate to either the Course or Lesson list and search for ‘Not enabled’ content. In the below screenshot, one Lesson is shown as ‘Processing’:
When to contact the Support team
If the content has been processing for more than 30 minutes please let us know, and we'll investigate.
