Learn - Allow learners to review completed content

In this article, we'll show how to switch on 'Review mode' for eLearning and video Lessons in Learn LMS.

When a learner completes a Lesson, it's status changes to Complete. If the learner chooses to reopen the content, the status will change to In progress, and the learning will have to be completed again.

Review mode enables learners to reopen the content without resetting their status to 'In progress'. Instead, learners will have a choice - to review the content (and retain the Complete status) or restart it completely. 

We'll also show how to switch Review mode on/off for all applicable Lessons in bulk, and how to switch on /off for individual Lessons only.

 Where Review mode is not activated, a learner will see only the option to 'Restart' - and when this is selected, all previous training records for the Lesson will be cleared, and the learner will have to complete the whole Lesson again. In this article we'll show:

Steps to enable review mode

1. From Learn admin, navigate to Settings:
2. Select 'Video and eLearning'
3. Switch the 'Enable review mode' toggle to 'Yes'. Review mode is now available on your site - however, it is not yet applied to all eLearning and video Lessons:

Review mode is now activated - but it's not yet applied - so the likely next step is to apply the feature to Lessons in your Learn or alternatively, to specific Lessons only. See below for steps.

Steps to switch review mode on for all, or just a few Lessons

Review mode is not automatically applied to eLearning and video Lessons when they are added to Learn, so make it part of your processes to activate Review mode for each new eLearning or video Lesson.

If available (as described above) Review mode can be switched on/off in two places.

To apply to all existing Lessons, browse to Settings | eLearning and video as described above, and select Turn ON for all. This will ensure Review mode is switched on for all applicable Lessons:

Alternatively, Review mode can be switched on/off for an individual eLearning or video Lesson - which may be quicker as you're importing new content. Steps are:

1. Browse to an eLearning or video Lesson
2. Select eLearning set up from the Lesson administration menu
3. Select the 'Enable review mode' checkbox
4. Select Submit to save
