A few things to know about content imports:
- When content is imported it becomes a Lesson
- After import, the Lesson can be assigned to one or more Courses
- A Course can also be created as part of the import process
- If a Course is created, the Lesson will be pre-assigned ready to share with your people
- Max file size for import is 1.7GB. Contact the support team to import larger files
- File names with special characters can cause the import to fail
- AICC content can be shared as a link instead of a file. Find out how to use a link to set up AICC content here
- AICC files should be formatted as a zip file containing 4 files: .au, .crs, .cst and .des
- eLearning SCORM content can be previewed from the Lesson
Note that for Document Lessons, it is possible to require a declaration from learners that they have understood the content contained in the document.

About the Course wizard
There is one Course Import Wizard in every Learn site. If more than one administrator is uploading content, then the wizard will queue the imports and upload them in sequence. A notification of ‘In Progress’ will appear for an imported Course or Lesson:
Remember – the Course created automatically by the Wizard can be deleted if not needed (this applies ONLY to Courses created after September 2018).
Require confirmation that the learner understood the linked content
When enabled, opening a document or URL lesson will not automatically change the status to 'complete'. Instead, it will remain 'In Progress' until the learner clicks the checkbox to acknowledge that the document has been read or the URL lesson has been viewed, which will then change the status to 'Complete':
View Overview of global settings to see how to switch this on.
Replace and update content
Content can change over time, and when that's the case you'll probably need to update the version in Learn LMS. Before you replace content files, take a look at What to do when eLearning content gets updated for recommended steps.
Preview SCORM Lessons
Once the Lesson is imported, you can preview the Lesson. When viewing the lesson details, under Lesson Type, there is a button labelled "Preview Lesson". If the SCORM lesson fails to load, the content provider may not support a browse mode.
When you select the "Preview Lesson" button, the lesson loads in the player, and you are in browse mode, which allows you to view the screens in the course but does not record progress, and certificates are not available. You can also skip and progress through content as required.
