Mimicking candidates is a great way to troubleshoot candidate issues. Mimicking allows you to see exactly what a candidate can see.
- Log in to the Recruit Admin portal (backoffice)
- Locate the candidate you would like to mimic
- Click the "view candidate file" icon
- Scroll down to the bottom of the pop-up and click on "mimic candidate"
This will take you to the candidate portal, and display everything that the candidate can see.
If you have trouble locating the candidate, try the following:
- Check your currently selected preference - if you have access to "All vacancies", select that to ensure your search is as wide as possible
- Select "All" in the sub-navigation at the top if you need to include archived candidates in your search
- Select "All folders" in the candidate status navigation to view submitted candidates, regardless of their status
- Select "Unsubmitted" in the sub-navigation at the top if the candidate you are searching for has started, but not yet submitted an application
- Switch to the List of people to search across everyone who has registered, including people who may not have started or submitted any applications - you can click the "Edit person" icon and then click on "mimic person" at the bottom of the pop-up to login as the candidate as well
