In most cases, candidates are expected to submit an application to the Kallidus Recruit system via the 'Apply' link on a vacancy. Occasionally however, recruiters need to add one or more applications to the system themselves.
Where you need to upload a candidate document (such as a CV) at the same time, and if it's just one or two applications, you can use the 'Add candidate' feature.
If you have many candidates to add, for example, a list of names, email addresses and phone numbers on a spreadsheet, which need to be imported to multiple vacancies and/or to different candidate workflow statuses, it may be more efficient to use 'import candidates' - though please bear in mind, with this option, you would need to add CVs or other documents to each individual application after the import is complete.
Add candidate
In the Kallidus Recruit backoffice, on your vacancy list, right-click against the vacancy to which you wish to add the application. This will bring up your vacancy options list. Towards the bottom, you will find 'Add candidate'.
On clicking the link, a popup will appear asking you to enter the email address of the person you want to add to the vacancy. This is to check if that person is already registered in the system. If they are, follow the options to copy an existing application, or to add a new application to that person's account.
Now, complete the application with as much information as you have available. Please note, mandatory fields need to be completed on the Vacancy Eligibility page in the same way as they would for a candidate making their own application. With a multi-page form, however, users are able to submit the application without completing required fields on any other form pages. To do this, just navigate directly to the Summary page.
Import candidates
This related feature is also available from the vacancy options menu:
Clicking this link will bring up an instruction page. In brief, using this feature enables you to import a spreadsheet of applications to the system in bulk to multiple vacancies and to multiple statuses at one time (although you always need to start the import from a single vacancy, you can include a column of unique vacancy IDs to import the candidates into multiple vacancies from one import file).
The candidate import page explains this in detail, and also has a link to the import template (specific to your system) which should be used as your starting point.
