In this article, we'll share how to troubleshoot issues with eLearning results do not track back from SCORM content to Learn LMS as expected.
This may be raised by a User after an Administrator has imported a new SCORM, SCORM 2004 content package to the LMS. Users may report that the expected status or score is not visible on their learning plan or results page; there could be multiple reasons for this, such as:
- The content is not SCORM-compliant
- The content has not successfully located our SCORM API to be able to communicate with it
- The User's internet connection may have dropped (even temporarily) during the time the course was launched, meaning the link between the content and the LMS (the API) has been lost
In the article we will cover:
How to test your content
SCORM provides a free test site called SCORMcloud, where you can upload and test any SCORM 1.2 or 2004 package. This is a great resource, as it enables content to be tested to help identify/isolate issues independently of an LMS.
Using SCORM cloud, you can create a free account and upload SCORM content to test that it launches and tracks successfully.
- If the same problem experienced in the LMS occurs in SCORM cloud, this indicates the problem you're experiencing is with the content, not with Learn LMS
- If the problem does not occur in the SCORM cloud, this indicates the issue you're experiencing relates to LMS hosting
Common testing results and what to do next
Select the testing result from the options below that best matches your observation in SCORM Cloud to determine the next step

It’s likely that the content may not be successfully locating our SCORM API. Kallidus Support can assist in identifying if this is the case. Please contact the Support team.
Learn LMS records data exactly as sent from the SCORM content. If there are issues, they should be raised with the content creator/vendor.
Do not retrospectively mark existing stored results as Passed or Failed; historical results will remain ‘Complete.
It's likely that there was an interruption in the connectivity between the User and the LMS
Advice here is to DELETE the User's previous training history on this lesson title. SCORM 2004 content will show two Lessons (parent and child Lessons), and both will need to be deleted for the User.
To delete a Lesson history:
- Browse to administration home
- Select User and find the User required
- Select Results
- Find the Lesson result
- Select History
- Select Delete all training history
- Ask the User to retry launching and completing the content
If the problem persists, verify that the User's browser and version meet the minimum specifications for Kallidus LMS and the third-party content vendor.
Additional checks include:
- Is the User's PC/browser blocking any pop-ups?
- If using Internet Explorer (IE), try compatibility mode
- Is JavaScript enabled in the user's browser?
Consider consulting your IT department for further support on enabling pop-ups and JavaScript according to your organisation's IT policies and protocols.
Contact Support if you need further clarification/guidance.
