This article explains how to add your own images to the Learn LMS image library for use across Pathways, and Course and Lesson cards. While Learn LMS includes a default image library, you can also upload custom images to better reflect your organisations brand.
Key things to know:
- Required image ratio for course and lesson images is 2:1 (width:height)
- Required image ratio for Pathway images is 6:1 (width:height)
- Supported file formats are .jpg and .png
- Max file size is 50MB
- Avoid special characters in file names, as they can prevent uploads
- Up to 20 images can be uploaded at a time

Steps to add an image to the library
- Browse to Learn admin
- Select Settings:
- Select My Images from the Settings Administration menu
- Select one of the two Choose images buttons to add images for either Course and Lesson cards, or Pathways (select the top button to add Course and Lesson card images. Select the lower button to add Pathway images):
- Browse and select up to 20 images to add to the library
- Select Upload images:
The selected images are now added and can be used for Courses, Lessons, and Pathways.
Managing images in the library
The image library displays only the images you have uploaded. While default images are available to use, they cannot be edited, renamed, or deleted.
- Only user-uploaded images appear in and can be managed within the library
- Default images cannot be edited, renamed, or deleted
- Uploaded images can be renamed or deleted after they’ve been added
- If an image is linked to a course, it must be unlinked before it can be deleted
