How to withdraw an application?
Application withdrawal is standard functionality (unless disabled upon special request). Each candidate is able to withdraw any submitted application and provide the reason behind this.
Recruiters can also withdraw candidates by clicking 'View application', scrolling to the bottom of the page, and clicking 'Withdraw'. If the candidate is at interview status, interviewers will be notified that the interview is cancelled.
Standard list of reasons:
- Accepted another job offer
- No longer interested in the position
- Health problem
- I have decided to stay in my current role
- My personal circumstances have changed
- Salary too low
- Problem with the location of the role
- Other (triggers an additional box to provide further reasons)
For candidates, the link to withdraw is available on the Application status page which is accessible from the Dashboard page.
Queries related to withdrawing applications
Q: Can you re-instate withdrawn application?
A: Yes, use 'Move to folder' to move the candidate from Withdrawn to the required status.
Q: Can the candidate withdraw their application accidentally?
A: No. The candidate must click to withdraw, then confirm they want to go ahead with withdrawing their application.
Q: Can the candidate re-apply for the same position after withdrawing the application?
A: No, it is not possible to apply again for the same position with the same email address after withdrawing an application. The first application must be deleted to allow the candidate to re-apply with the same email address.
Q: Can I report on the withdrawal reasons?
A: Yes, the information is fully reportable.
