Here's what's new and what's fixed in the 23rd January 2025 release:
What's fixed
- Clearer character limit in the UI for the AI skill generator prompt (Beta customers)
- Competency check direct assignment fix - When a competency check was assigned directly to a User and a Group Admin was the checker, they would see all associated groups for that User. Directly assigned competency checks now show as their own option in the filter drop-down for Group Admins.
- Improvement to the Learn video player, we have added an overlay when a video is paused so that the play button is easily visible on lighter backgrounds.
What's new
- Playlists
- Import skills via CSV (Beta customers)
- Edit skills (Beta customers)
- Configure if Managers can send reminder emails via 'My Team' page
- In-app feedback
Playlists
Playlists provide a simple way for Users to save content for later or quickly access frequently used Courses. Each Playlist is private and visible only to the User who created it, and only Courses available in Learn can be added to a Playlist.
This feature is enabled for all Users, with a default Playlist called "Saved for Later" automatically created.
To find out more, and a video on how this feature works, check out the article 'Create and use Playlists'.
Import skills via CSV (Beta customers)
With this enhancement to the Skills Beta, you can now import your existing skills framework or add new skills alongside AI-generated suggestions. These skills can be used to tag content, and soon, you'll also be able to map them to individuals within your organisation through skill profiles.
For more details, check out the article 'Create and manage skills (In Beta)'.
The Skills Beta is open to all customers. To join, please contact your Customer Experience Manager, and we’ll enable this feature for you.
Edit skills (Beta customers)
You can now edit skill names with ease. This feature is useful for correcting typos, updating terminology, or refining AI-generated skills to better align with your organisation’s specific language. When a skill name is updated, all associated content tagged with that skill is automatically updated as well.
The Skills Beta is open to all customers. To join, contact your Customer Experience Manager, and we’ll enable this feature for you
Configure if Managers can send reminder emails via 'My Team' page
By default, Managers are able to send reminder emails to their direct reports from the 'Mandatory training' area of the 'My Team' dashboard. However, there are times you don't want managers to be able to send reminder emails to their team. This could be due to the number of emails that will get generated or them being sent too often.
Learn more about how to manage this configuration with the article 'Switch on/off the ability to send reminder emails for mandatory training from My team dashboard'.
In-app feedback
We know how important ease of use is to you and how vital it is that your employees have the best user experience possible. To help us continuously improve the employee experience, we can now capture feedback directly from learners and managers within the Learn and Perform products. Users will see an optional pop-up inviting them to rate their experience with a simple numerical score and leave additional comments if they wish.
This feedback will help us pinpoint areas for improvement in the user experience. This will directly feed into our roadmap and ultimately lead to a better experience for your learners and managers.
