Thank you to everyone who provided feedback via your CEM, Airfocus, or our recent survey. Based on your feedback, we have made two more changes to how Users are added and managed in IDS with Learn LMS.
What's new
- Quick navigation from Manage Users to Learn admin
- Option to reset a User's password directly in Learn admin
- Choose the data format when importing Users via a spreadsheet
- Making it easier to add people into the system
Quick navigation from Manage Users to Learn admin
In the 'Manage Users' section, a quick link to the full User profile in the Learn admin is now available in all User profiles.
This can be useful if for example, a User has just been added, and there is a need to populate further information in the User Information fields:
Option to reset a Users' password directly in Learn admin
A User's password can be reset in Manage Users. We have now added a further option so that a Users password can be reset directly in Learn admin. Note that when a password is reset this way, a notification is not sent to the User.
This option can be helpful if the password is being changed while in direct contact with the User (and a notification is not required):
Choose the data format when importing Users via a spreadsheet
The User import process can now be configured to allow either American or UK date format (mm/dd/yy or dd/mm/yy). This eliminates the need to reformat files when using a standard date format in your data.
This change does not affect your automated People-data feed in any way.
View this article to see how to manually import Users via a spreadsheet and how to configure the import date format.
Making it easier to add people into the system
The New button within the Users page in Learn now loads the add user page in Manage users. This helps you to remember to add this information in first before going into Learn to complete any further details.
