In this article, we'll explain how to publish a global objective, and importantly, when to do it. Timing is everything! A few things to know about publishing global objectives:
- When a global objective is created, it will be saved as a draft
- A global objective cannot be unpublished, but it can be archived
- An archived objective can be unarchived (back to a 'published state')
When to publish a global objective
When a global objective is published, it's instantly visible to the organisation and available to connect. So if you're not ready for people to connect to it, don't publish it. Typically, organisations tend to create a global objective as a draft, then publish it when a new review cycle starts.
How to publish a global objective
- Select Global objectives from the Perform administration menu:
- Select the Drafts tab
- Select Publish. This will enable your organisation to see and connect to this global objective:
- Select Publish to confirm
