In this article, we’ll show how to view and edit LMS roles in Learn LMS.
The automated people-data feed will usually be configured to make student and Manager LMS role assignments. However, it may be necessary to give greater admin access to specific colleagues, for example, to share admin duties, or allow an individual to take ownership of a learning activity.
Where that is the case, LMS roles can be assigned manually in Learn admin. A few things to know about LMS roles:
- The specific permissions for each role is determined by ACL (Access Control) permissions
- Users cannot assign roles granting greater access than their own role
- New LMS roles can be created from scratch or by copying and amending an existing role
We recommend that you check regularly to see which Users have access to Learn admin.
