What is this about?
This article aims to offer guidance on what controls visibility of vacancies on the Kallidus candidate portal. The options described will also typically affect whether or not your roles are included in feeds to job boards etc. as well.
Have roles open automatically at a future date
If you want to have a vacancy open for applications at a future date, set the opening date in the future, ensuring the status is 'Open' or equivalent, and that relevant 'Publish to' options are checked (e.g. external portal). The role will appear at just after midnight on the date set.
Allow applications only by invitation
If you want to allow candidates to apply only by invitation, you would simply leave the 'Publish to' fields unchecked, ensure the vacancy has an Open status, and that the Opening date has been reached, and the Closing date has not been reached, then you can send them the direct link to the vacancy available from the vacancy sharing page ('Share this vacancy')
General troubleshooting
There are a number of reasons why a vacancy may not be visible. The most common of these are as follows:
- Ensure that the Opening date set on the vacancy is set in the past
- Ensure that the Closing date set on the vacancy is set in the future
- Ensure that the relevant options are checked for your "Publish to" (or equivalent) field on the vacancy
- Ensure you are looking at the correct site - e.g. If the vacancy is set to publish internally only, make sure you are looking at the internal candidate portal (https://YourURL/internalportal/search.aspx)
- Do you have any filter options selected on the vacancy search page, which may be filtering out the vacancy from the search results list? If so, remove all search filters and click "Search" again
- If all of the above doesn't resolve your issue and you still can't see this vacancy, you may have an older version of that page cached either locally on your PC or on your company's proxy server. Try doing a Ctrl+F5 in your browser to refresh the vacancy list page.
