There are lots of terms and acronyms that the Customer Support team use on a regular basis. In this article, we'll clarify what they mean.
ACL - Access Control List
Within Kallidus applications there are ACL permissions associated with roles. Each one allows access to specific features and functions.
Change Request or CR
A formal request for a new service, product feature/configuration, changes to data, or additional, chargeable work must be scoped and risk assessed by the Kallidus team. A Change Request is a document that records the customer requirements, methods, analysis, and customer/Kallidus approval and forms part of the Kallidus Change Management process. Change Requests can be raised via the Help Centre via Submit Request.
PEN Testing
Penetration security testing. This is the practice of testing a computer system, network or Web application to find vulnerabilities that an attacker could exploit.
PLYNT
A specific standard of penetration security testing.
SQL - Structured Query Language
This is a domain-specific language used in programming and designed for managing data held in databases.
SSL - Secure Sockets Layer
This is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser.
SSO - Single Sign On
SSO allows a user to log in with a single ID and password to gain access to a connected system or systems without using different usernames or passwords or, in some configurations, seamlessly signing on to each system.
