This article covers the following topics:
How to access the Org Chart
To view the Org Chart, navigate from Company > Org Chart. Drag the screen with your mouse to explore the chart.
Use the menu on the upper righthand side to search, zoom and filter your organization. Click the down arrows on a profile to see the people that report to each person. You can also navigate directly to a team member's profile by selecting on their name.
Org Chart capabilities
With the Sapling Org chart, you have the ability to :
- Share a link directly to the org chart without sharing any other data (Org Chart > Share > and copy the URL) - this is great for sharing with external groups like your Board of Directors or an auditor
- Color code the Org Chart by Group Types (for ex: Department, Location, etc). To filter by Group Types, click the color icon next to the “Share” button
- "Expand All /Collapse All" the Org Chart with a single click.

Pro tips💡
- Be sure to read this article if you have more than 1 leader at the top of your organization.
- The "Manager Relationship" is used to configure your Org Chart, so be sure to keep your Job Details tab up to date.
- New hires will appear on the Org Chart only once their start date has passed.
- Updates to the Org Chart occur when there are changes in names, managers or job titles in the platform. This typically occurs in a few seconds, however for busy periods with lots of changes, this may take up to one hour.
- To print the org chart, use the zoom, expand, and panning controls to get the view you want on screen (we recommend also making your browser full screen), then use your browser's Print feature.
- We do not allow custom configuration for the information that displays on Org Chart cards.
