Learn - The Lesson Administration menu

This article details what each of the items in the Lesson administration menu relate to. This is useful for a new administrator or if you are new to using Lessons in Learn LMS.

Lesson Administration Menu

These are the menu options you see for eLearning Lessons and for Instructor-led Lessons:                                   

See information below for what each option means:

Details	General information about the Lesson
Custom fields	Record extra details about Lessons for reports, such as subject matter experts, vendor names, additional codes, addresses, references, and admin notes about events. Custom fields can be included in reports and are only visible to administrators
eLearning set up	Configure properties for URL and eLearning lessons.Enter the URL here for URL lessons
Course	Assign this Lesson to an existing Course. If no Course has been created for this Lesson, return to Administration Home and select 'Courses' to create a new Course
Event	Create an Event for this Lesson. Events represent the actual date, time, and location of the learning session. This is for instructor-led training only
Resource	Allocate physical resources required for learning events, such as projectors and training rooms. Resources are assigned to learning Events or Users, preventing double bookings
Notify List	Users on the notify list can receive automatic notifications when new Events are added for this Lesson. They can add themselves to the list by clicking 'Send me new dates,' or administrators can manually add Users. This applies to instructor-led Lessons only
Notification	Configure status notifications for this Lesson. Notify Users and their managers when the Course is completed or failed. Specify the date from which this notification will apply
Continuous accreditation	If an accreditation is linked to a Lesson, it is awarded when a user passes or completes the Lesson
CPD programmes	Link this Lesson to a CPD program. Lessons are allocated a points/hour value contributing to a User's CPD target for a specified period
Results	View individual User results for the Lesson
Evaluation forms	Turn evaluations on and off for this Lesson. Choose which evaluation form should be used
Notes	A free-text field to add additional notes for this Lesson
Email templates	Customise the template for notification emails related to this specific Lesson. This overrides the default email templates for this Lesson and can be used to add Lesson-specific notes to standard emails
Send email	Send an ad-hoc email regarding this Lesson to all enrolled Users. You can also CC
Report	HTML reports are available throughout Learn. These reports are real-time, but they cannot be customised or scheduled, unlike Business Objects reports
