Is there a limit on how many Skills can be imported?
Yes. A single import has a 1000-row limit. If more Skills are required, additional CSV imports can be performed.
What AI and data is being used to generate Skills?
We use Azure open AI. The only data processed is the information on the Skills prompt. For more information, see Create and manage Skills in the Knowledgebase.
Is there a limit on how many Skills can be in our library?
No, there is no limit. However, we would consider best practice over the volume of Skills in your library.
Can Skills be deleted or edited?
Yes. Currently, you can delete all Skills, a single Skill, or edit the name of a Skill.
Do we support behaviours and values in a framework?
Yes. The name of a skill is just a string of text, so any ‘term’ can be used as long as it's under 200 characters long.
Does AI suggest additional Skills to add to a library?
No. This might be a future enhancement we explore.
Can Skills be categorised in the library?
No, not at the moment. However, we are actively monitoring interest in this feature for future roadmap development. Due to the scale of functionality we’re aiming to build for Skills, we’ve decided to temporarily put this feature on hold to avoid delaying the overall roadmap.
How many Skills can the AI suggest?
There is no limit however, the prompt in the technology aims for around 200 Skills.
Is there a character limit on the name of a Skill?
Yes. A Skills character length is capped at 200 characters and we don’t anticipate any issues. We will monitor feedback as always though.
Will end users see Skills if I create my framework/ library?
No, your people will only see Skills-related information once an admin has tagged Lessons with a Skill, or assigned Skills to people. This gives admins the flexibility to focus on building their Skills framework first, ensuring it’s well-structured and ready for use before making it visible to employees.
What can Skills be used for once I create a framework?
As we shape our roadmap, Skills will be a foundational element of Learn and Perform. Right now, you can tag lessons with relevant Skills, and map Skills to individuals. Soon, you'll be able to set target proficiency levels.
Looking ahead, our vision includes enabling skill discovery and linking Skills directly to performance - driving even greater impact for learners and the organisation.
Will there be any further enhancements to the AI skill generator?
As always, customer feedback will play a key role in shaping future enhancements and the priority of this. We've already made improvements based on Beta feedback and are currently exploring AI Powered skill suggestions - recommending Skills that will be required in the future, or emerging Skills relevant to your organisation.
Can I manually add Skills, or can they only be created by import or Ai?
Currently, new skills must be imported. Manual addition is on the roadmap and being considered for future releases.
Can a learner gain a Skill from completing a course not linked to their Skills profile?
Yes, self-assessment and auto-boosting allow learners to self-claim Skills and enable courses to auto-boost skill levels if completed, supporting learning that happens outside the platform as well.
