Reporting - How do I find how many mandatory courses need a few more user completions for 100% compliance?

In this article we'll show how to see which Courses need just a few Users to achieve 100% compliance. Then, we'll drill into the detail to:

Note that the same steps might be followed to identify which Courses need the most users to complete for 100% compliance.

To answer this question, we'll use the Learning progress report. Note that by default, the Learning Progress report is pre-set to include mandatory Course assignments only. View this article to see how to switch to view optional assignments.

See which Courses need just a small number of Users for full completion

  1. Open the Learning progress report
  2. The 'Courses' summary metric will show, at a glance, the number of Courses that are fully complete, and not fully complete. In the below example, 18 Courses are not fully complete. Select View to drill into the detail:  POWERBI_Courses_summary_Metric.png
  3. Select the column '#non-complete assignments' to sort the table by values in this column. Results will be listed with the largest number of non-complete assignments
  4. Select the column '#non-complete assignments' again, to re-sort by Courses with the lowest number of non-complete assignments. In this example, the Course 'Living our company values' needs just one User to complete the Course to take it to 100% compliance:POWERBI_Non_complete_course_assignments.png

List the Users for each incomplete Course

  1. Follow the steps above to see which Courses need just a small number of Users for full completion
  2. Hover over, or right-click a row
  3. Select Drill-through
  4. Select See Person-level information for this Course:POWERBI_See_person_level_detail.png
  5. All Users enrolled on the Course will be listed. Select the column 'Course compliance status' to sort the table by values in this column (Select again to reverse the sort order if preferred). For this example, we can see the one person who is not compliant for this Course is Heather Wilson:POWERBI_See_person_level_detail_Not_Compliant_User.png

Export, save, and share the results

Now you have the results, what next? 

To print the screen straight to PDF, select CNTRL+P. Alternatively, use a snipping tool to grab a specific area.
