In this article, we'll show how with just a few clicks, you can see how many mandatory learning assignments for repeat training with Accreditations are due to expire in the next month - or any future month. Then, we'll dive deeper into the report to:
- Identify exactly which mandatory Courses are due to expire, and for which Users
- Signpost next steps, including export, save, and share results
To answer this question, we'll use the Learning progress report. Note that by default, the Learning Progress report is pre-set to include mandatory Course assignments only. View this article to see how to switch to view optional assignments.
Find the mandatory Course assignments due to expire next month
- Open the Learning progress report. The 'Repeat training expiry' bar chart shows the number of learning assignments due to expire in the coming months
- Hover over next month (in this example, that's September):
- Select drill-through
- Select See Course assignments due to expire for the selected column. The resulting table will then show the Courses due to expire in the selected month, along with key details such as:
- Primary Group
- Course title
- Next repeat training date
- Future event booking date and time
Note that all Users are listed as 'Compliant' (meaning that all Users have completed the learning as expected), however the 'Next repeat training' date shows that the listed Users will all need to repeat the learning in the highlighted month.
From here, you can export save, and share results with just a few clicks.
See which Course(s) are due to expire, and for which Users
The above example lists just a few Courses, however in your Learn LMS there may be many more. To drill further into the detail, filters can be applied to the specific visual - in addition to the filters already. For example it may be useful to apply a filter to a show only a specific Course, or Courses.
When viewing the 'Course assignments due to expire' table, the applied filters will be shown here:
To access filters based on all the data items included in the table, select the corner of the table. All data items in the table will then be available to filter and listed under 'Filters on this visual':
This will give access to a much wider range of filters, including Course custom fields, and future event booking date and time.
Export, save, and share the results
Now you have the results, what next?
- Save and share a report view
- Organise report views into groups
- Export a table visual straight to Excel
To print the screen straight to PDF, select CNTRL+P. Alternatively, use a snipping tool to grab a specific area.
