Sapling - Kallidus Learn Integration Guide

Introduction

The Kallidus Sapling platform helps HR and People Operations teams automate and streamline administrative tasks so they can focus on employee experience,  retention, and creating an amazing culture for the most successful teams.


With the Kallidus Learn Integration, we will:

  1. Create Users: When a new hire completes their profile in Sapling, they will automatically be created in Learn.

  2. Update User Attributes: When a user attribute is changed in Sapling, the corresponding user profile in Learn will automatically be updated.

  3. Deactivate Users: When a user is offboarded in Sapling, the corresponding user in Learn will automatically be disabled.

How It Works

Setting up the Integration Step by Step

Before configuring your integration, talk with your Implementation or Success Manager to set up your specific field mapping.

Step #1. Retrieve your Learn API Key

  1. Reach out to your Kallidus Customer Success Manager

Step #2. Enable the Learn Integration in Sapling

  1. Navigate to Administration Tools → Integrations → Direct Integrations
  2. Click the toggle on the Learn integration
  3. Enter your Learn subdomain URL and API key

Step #3. Confirm the Integration settings

  1. Review the integration filters and make your selection

  2. Save changes and that’s it!

Kallidus Learn is an LMS solution designed for the modern learner.

Integration Fields

Sapling is continually expanding the number of fields that sync between Sapling and Kallidus Learn. Here is a full list of Sapling and Learn and/ or Perform Integration Fields:

Key Factors to be aware of

Kallidus Learn and Kallidus Perform

  • If you are leveraging Learn, Perform, or both, there is only one API call needed to create user profiles.

  • You will only need to enter your subdomain URL and API Key once.

  • In Sapling, you will enable both if you are using both integrations.

Employee Syncing

  • New hires in Sapling are synced to Learn overnight, where their profiles will be automatically created when they complete preboarding
  • Profile changes in Sapling are also synced to Learn immediately

  • To ensure a consistent data flow, once you activate this integration, we'll attempt to match all existing employees between Sapling and Learn

Filters in Sapling

Sapling supports filtering, and allows you to identify what users you want to keep synced based on the following:

  • Location

  • Department

  • Employment Status

Field Mapping

The integration with Sapling and Kallidus Learn allows you to map a limited number of custom fields between the products. Talk with your Implementation or Success Manager to set up your specific field mapping.
