Introduction

Finding the best talent is the key to any successful organization, but it doesn’t stop at hiring – it’s just as important to support new hires, empower them to be productive and successful in their new role.

By leveraging Kallidus Sapling, you can provide significant improvements to your People Operations team and Hiring Managers, while completely streamlining the Candidate and Employee experience through the SmartRecruiters integration.

How It Works

Overview

The SmartRecruiters integration with Sapling lets you:

  • Pull hired candidate information automatically from SmartRecruiters into Sapling Pending Hires to populate a new employee profile. No more spreadsheets or manual data entry required!

  • Assign paperwork, welcome the new-hire, initiate team and role onboarding through a company-branded pre-boarding experience.

  • Automate onboarding workflows, triggered notifications, and reminders across multiple departments, locations and stakeholders

  • Empower managers to ramp up new-hires with objective-based onboarding roadmaps that support new hire success from day one

Setting up the Integration

  1. In Sapling, navigate to the Integrations page
  2. Enable the slider for SmartRecruiters
  3. Leave the Client ID and Secret fields blank (they'll be auto-populated) and click Next
  4. Click Connect
  5. Log into your SmartRecruiters admin account and click Allow Access
  6. Your integration is now ready to go! 

Integration Fields

Kallidus is continually expanding the number of fields that sync between SmartRecruiters and Sapling. Here is the full list of fields currently supported:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Start Date

  • Job Title

  • Department (based off the posting function)

  • Location (based off the city from the posting address)

  • Employment Status (based off the posting type of employment)

  • Personal email address

Key Factors to be aware of

Field Names in SmartRecruiters and Sapling

  • For the Fields to sync correctly, the field names and field options naming conventions must match between SmartRecruiters and Sapling.

Data Sync Management

  • Sapling syncs with SmartRecruiters every 60 minutes, so when a candidate is marked as Hired in SmartRecruiters, Sapling will collect the new hire data and pull into Sapling at the next sync interval.
