Sapling's Field History allows you to retain archived field history data of all your team member's profile fields helping you comply with any audits you may have.
Field History is available on both the Profile and Job Details tabs for any team member.
Profile Tab
You can view the history of all your Profile fields by switching on the 'View history' slider at the top of the section, and the clock icon will appear on the fields.
What does the Field History contain?
The Field History contains a record of the:
- Field Name - the name of the field
- New Value - what the field was changed to
- Changed By - who made the change
- Timestamp - when the field was changed
Job Details Tab
You can view the history of certain fields in the Job details tables, understand why changes were made, and (as a Super Admin) make changes to field history. To view a table history, click on 'Show historical changes' under the table.
What does the Field History contain?
The Table History contains a record of the:
- Column Name - the name of each column
- Previous Value - what the column value was
- Updated By - who made the change
- Date - when the field was changed
- Actions - edit or delete changes (Account Owners only)
Key factors to be aware of
Only team members who have access to view the field can view the history.
For example, Managers that can see personal information of their Reports will be able to view the history.
Only Super Admins with access to the fields can edit the Job details history, this means that they can view, edit or delete changes made to a particular field.
