In this article, we'll show how to create multiple new Events by copying an existing Event. The new Events will be identical copies, created according to a recurrence pattern specified when the copy is made. This can save time when an administrator needs to quickly create multiple Events.
Note that Events created in this way are not linked, as with recurring meetings in Outlook for example. They are individual Events and must be edited individually, so before copying an Event take care to ensure it is set up correctly.
Steps to create multiple copies of an Event
- Navigate to an existing Event in Learn
- Scroll to the end of the page and select 'Copy':
- Choose the recurrence pattern - how frequently the Events should recur:
- Choose the range of recurrence - how many Events will be created, or the end date for the recurrence:
- Choose from the remaining options
- Select 'Submit' to create the Events:
Multiple identical Events are now created, according to the pattern specified. Select 'View' to edit or make further changes to each individual Event. This might be necessary for example, to change the time of an Event if the date falls on a public holiday:
