What is delegation?
If this option is configured on your system, this allows you to delegate access to your account to another user (e.g. so they may raise or approve requisitions on your behalf; view your vacancies and view/action your candidates whilst you are on holiday).
Please note that this feature does not redirect emails - emails will continue to be sent to the original email address, and won't go to the person to whom the account is delegated.
- Click the Manage delegation option from menu at the top right of the screen
- Search for the user you want to delegate to
- Click Delegate my recruitment activities
- If you are currently delegating to someone, you will see this on your delegation page and your dashboard
- Click Cancel delegation to stop delegation
- When someone has delegated to you, a new section is visible on your Dashboard page. Click the link to view your colleague's work.
- Click 'Return to my recruitment' to go back to your own work.
Please note
- With delegated work, the timelines for candidates, requisitions etc. will continue to show the name of the original person to whom that work was assigned.
Therefore, if Person A delegates work to Person B, even though Person B actions the work through delegation on behalf of Person A, Person A will show in timelines as the person who actioned that work.
If this is not as required, Super Users can approve as different users in the Kallidus Recruit backoffice , or alternatively can assign work to different users.
Important note for Super users
The above only applies if you are logging into the User portal directly. The delegation functionality is not displayed to super users mimicking other users in the User portal.
If you are a super user and you want to set up delegation for a user other than yourself, you will need to mimic the user in the Backoffice and then go Settings > Delegation. You may then pick the person you want that user to be delegated to.
