Learn - Offer AI-Powered Recommendations on Course completion

In this article, we'll explain how to switch on the AI Course Recommender, so that learners are offered a selection of non-mandatory learning each time they complete a Course. We'll also explain how the AI Course Recommender works and how your data is used.

 
The AI recommender is a great way to raise the profile of optional learning, demonstrate your commitment to employee development, and increase employee satisfaction. Each time a Course is completed, the below pop-up window will appear:

Steps to switch on the AI Course recommender

  1. In Learn admin, browse to the Settings area:LEARN_GlobalSettings.png
  2. Select Other settings from the Settings administration menu:Learn_Settings_OtherSettings.png
  3. Scroll down to find Option.AllowCourseRecommendations option
  4. Select Edit:LEARN_CourseRecommender_Edit.png
  5. Delete the text, 'False' and type 'True'
  6. Select Save:LEARN_CourseRecommender_save.png

How the AI recommender works

The AI recommender uses a clustering algorithm to suggest courses completed by people similar to you that you haven't taken yet. It compares your course completions and ratings to find these similarities.

Over time, as your interests and goals change, the system dynamically updates your recommendations to match your new learning preferences. This ensures you always receive the most relevant Course suggestions throughout your career and learning journey.

How your data is used

At Kallidus we take your data security and integrity extremely seriously. This feature does not transfer data outside of our usual infrastructure; it is kept within our own developed technology. The data is used for the sole and limited purpose of creating and improving Course recommendations.

As with all of our features, this new feature keeps your data separate from other customers' data. If you do not switch this feature on, your data will not be processed by our AI engine.
