Learn - Empower managers to book and manage Events for their team

In this article, we'll show how managers can be given the autonomy to book and cancel team members onto Events. This feature can be switched on for all managers, or just a subset of managers.

For the Learn admin team, this can be really helpful to decentralise the Event booking process. It can also be useful in organisations where team members don't have access to a device to make their own booking. 

Managers can then bring learning into their regular performance conversations with team members. For example, a manager can mandate a Course for a team member, and then through the Manager Dashboard, book a place on a suitable Event.

Here's how it looks for managers:

Steps to activate the 'Book Instructor-led training' option in the manager dashboard

1. In Learn admin, browse to 'Settings':
2. Select 'Managers' from the Settings menu:
3. The next step is to decide if ALL managers should have access to this feature, or if specified managers ONLY should have access to this feature.
   If all managers should have access, select 'Yes' in the toggle switch, and move to step 5. If the feature should be available to specified managers only, select 'No' in the toggle switch and move to step 4.
4. Select the individuals and Groups to have access to this feature. 
5. Scroll to the end of the page and select 'Submit' to save
