In this article, we are going to show you how to set Full-time equivalent hours and explain how this impacts the employee dashboard and booking time-off.
When working patterns and the PTO module is active, first, you need to set the full-time equivalent hours for your organisation. This will be used with an employee’s working pattern and the time-off policies you’ve created to calculate employees time-off balances.
Background
Currently, the FTE is set across the whole organisation. If you have multiple full-time equivalent hours across the organisation, the employee bookings and dashboard who’s working pattern differs to the FTE hours will default to hours (i.e. condensed hour contracts).
Only employees whose hours align with the FTE settings will show days and half days on their dashboard and when making bookings.
For part-time employees where the hours align to the FTE settings will show days and half days on their dashboard and when making bookings.
Steps to set the Full time equivalent:
- Open the Administration Tools drop-down menu
- Select 'Platform settings'
- Select Full-time equivalent
- Set the FTE hours in a day and the number of days in a week and save.
Once the FTE has been set and a booking has been made, you cannot edit the FTE hours. If you change your FTE hours, please contact your Customer Experience Manager or Support, who will be able to help.
Once you have set your FTE, you can now create Working Patterns - Sapling - Create a Working Pattern
