In this article, we'll explain what a Skill profile is and how to create/edit one.
A skills profile is a way to group and organise skills, allowing you to assign them flexibly without being restricted to specific job titles. This approach enables a more dynamic and scalable way of managing skills across your organisation. For example, you might create a skills profile that includes:
- 8 core skills relevant to all employees
- 15 department-specific skills applicable to an entire team
- 10 job-specific skills tailored to a particular role
- 8 leadership skills for managers and aspiring leaders
This flexibility allows you to map skills efficiently without getting lost in the complexities of defining skills for every individual job title. However, if you prefer a more detailed, role-specific approach, that option is always available.
