In this article, we'll show how to edit a username for a User if you have the new Identity server.
There are several reasons to change a username, such as correcting discrepancies between the SSO (Single Sign-On) username and the one stored in the system, or fixing a typo.
Important: Changing a username can lead to Single Sign-On issues, potentially preventing successful authentication and access to products due to a mismatch. If this occurs, it is advised to consult with the IT team.
For sites with an automated people-data feed, usernames should be updated directly in the source HR data. The feed will automatically update the username in Learn. If an immediate change is necessary, update the username in both the source HR system and Learn, ensuring that the username in Learn matches what will appear in the data feed.
