In this article, we'll take a look at some of the key formatting options available for data Visualisations in Power BI. We'll show how to:
- Make the report layout more visually appealing to your users
- Make Visualisations distinct from one another
- Apply colour-coding (such as Red-Amber-Green)
Steps to format a visualisation
To view the formatting options for a selected Visualisation:
- Click to select a Visualisation
- Open the Visualisations panel
- Select 'Format Visual':
Options to format the selected Visualisation are divided into two sections, Visual and General. Formatting options in the 'Visual' section include:
- Font colour, size, and emphasis
- Display units
- Text wrap
- Labels
Formatting options in the 'General' section include:
- Height, width, Position, and Padding
- TItle
- Icons
- Alt Text
