Reporting - Summarise key metrics with card visuals

In this article we’ll see how to add a card visualisation to a page in Power BI. Card visualisations are a great way to summarise headline metrics or single pieces of information. Card visualisations can be:

• dragged to any size you want
• copied and pasted
• formatted to suit your organisations brand

Steps to add a card visualisation to the page

1. Start a new User-created report or open an existing report
2. From the Visualisations panel, select 'Card visualisation'. An empty Card will be added to the report:
3. Check that the Card visualisation is still the selected item on the page. From the Data panel, select a Data field to add to the Card. Card visualisations work best with measures:
4. Save the report when you're done
