If your system is displaying the candidate CV as a link, and not simply showing the CV, this may be a browser setting which you need to update on your machine.
To fix this, in Chrome settings, go to Security and privacy -> Site settings -> Additional content settings -> PDF documents and ensure 'Open PDFs in Chrome' is selected and not 'Download PDFs':
