In this article, we'll take a look at the basics of filtering, Filters remove all but the data you want to focus on, and can be applied:
- across all pages
- to a specific page
- to a specific data visual
Apply a filter to all pages
This is a very common use for filters. Click and drag to add multiple Data fields to 'FIlters on all pages' The data item used to filter the report does not have to be displayed in the visual:

Click and drag to add multiple Data fields to 'FIlters on this page' The data item used to filter the report does not have to be displayed in the visual:
Apply a filter to a specific visualisation only
Click to select a visual - when the corner markers appear, a filter selection will apply to this visual only:
