Kallidus Tip: Restricting Course enrolments vs restricting Event attendees on instructor-led training
Hello customer Community! 👋
When looking to restrict the number of attendees on instructor-led training, we occasionally see this set up in a way that can prevent your learners from enrolling onto a course and viewing the dates available.
This is due to the difference between setting the maximum attendees on the event and the maximum users at course level.Â
Managing your attendees should take place at event level and this can be managed on an event by event basis via the booking management page. You can also set a default number of minimum and maximum attendees via the global event settings.Â

This setting can be confused with the maximum users setting on the course:
Â

If a number is set in the maximum users field, this will restrict the number of learners that can enrol onto your course and therefore prevent visibility of the events available. Best practice is to leave this field blank unless there is a specific requirement to restrict the number of enrolments. This will allow you to manage the attendees purely at event level and ensure effective booking management.
