Updating cookie consent in line with the recent ICO guidance
The ICO (https://ico.org.uk/) recently updated its guidance in line with the GDPR changes. The essence of this change is that, when visiting a website, explicit consent to cookies being placed on a machine is required. Previously, only implied consent was required and logging into a site was enough to give this.
This new cookie consent screen informs visitors to your Perform site that cookies are used and enables them to tailor this usage. For example, if an individual does not want to accept analytical cookies then they can choose to not enable these.
Good to know: Once the cookie settings have been set for the first time then they will not be requested to be set again. A user can, if they wish, change their preferences if they wish. |
Please contact us with any questions on this new functionality.
