How do you reduce your admin time by delegating responsibility? Parts 2 and 3
This three-part live event series is your practical guide to delegating the right responsibilities to the right people, so you can spend less time on day-to-day admin and more time on what really matters.
Part 2: Additional responsibilities
Depending on their role, users can also be given additional responsibilities to manage specific users, groups, courses and events, giving you a flexible way to share admin duties with colleagues without handing over full access.
In this session we'll cover four of these responsibilities: Course Tutor, Course Administrator, Event Administrator and Group Manager. For each one we'll look at what it gives someone access to, when and why you might use it, and what it looks like when they log in.
Part 3: Group Administrator
Group Administrator offers a broader level of access than the other responsibilities, including the ability to see the people in their group through reporting and on their manager dashboard, making it a useful option for team leads and managers.
We'll explore the key considerations that come with this role, look at how group rules can automate who becomes a Group Administrator, and show the experience live so you can see exactly what someone in this role has access to.
Peer to peer: How do you document your system set up?
A clear record of how your system is set up can be really helpful, for knowing what is there and why, auditing your content, and tracking what has changed. Everyone goes about it differently, whether that is using custom fields, a spreadsheet, reporting, or something else.
Inspired by this post in our community, this customer-led discussion is a chance to compare approaches, look at what resources are available to support and share how to keep your documentation useful without too much admin burden.
