Has anyone explored or is using user generated content?
FeaturedHello everyone,
Has anyone explored or is using user generated content? Last summer we began exploring this and mapped out an internal process for staff to share content. Unfortunately we haven't got to a place where we can launch it, but it is something we'd really like to pick up and are seeing lots of use cases for it.
Would love to hear if anyone is using UGC and how you are finding it :)
Thanks, Jayne

We have it enabled and there are a few people who share things but not all that regularly. I was hoping some of our subject matter experts (e.g. IT team) would share how-to videos there, but they prefer putting them on sharepoint. I often use it myself, just because it is quicker to add a course and matching lesson that way - it creates both course and lesson together. You can then go into the admin side and make any tweaks you want, but it's much quicker than making a separate course and lesson and then having to link them. I wish this functionality was available in the admin side!

Hi Ciara,
That's interesting, how did you launch the process with your staff, and is it something you continuously promote? I think this would be a key part for us to get staff onboard!
Thanks, Jayne

Hi we have put it in our staff newsletter a few times, and I have given demos and so on to people who I think would be really good at sharing content (mainly members of our IT team, our HR team, our labour market information team). Also when people send us to stuff, I reply to them that they can post it themselves! But there seems to be a lot of reluctance, even though the process is super easy! Maybe it's a confidence issue.
