Competency checks enhancement in Pathways Beta - automatic checker assignment
Previously, competency checks within pathways had to be assigned separately, which meant reviewers could be notified too early or out of sequence.
Based on customer feedback from the Pathways Beta, we’ve improved how competency checks are assigned within pathways. Competency checker workflows are now automatically created and assigned to reviewers when the relevant milestone is reached. For example, if a competency check is included in milestone 2, reviewers will only be assigned once milestone 1 has been completed.
This removes the need to separately assign the competency check course and ensures reviewers are notified at the right time.
Thank you to all Pathways Beta customers whose feedback helped accelerate this improvement on our roadmap. Using the feature and sharing live feedback is a key part of our Beta process and helps us continue shaping the product around what delivers the most value to customers.
New pathway banner image size option
You can now upload images with optimised dimensions specifically for pathway banners. This new option is available in Admin Settings > My Images.
Please note that the same image is still used for both the pathway banner and the course card. When a pathway image is displayed on a course card, it will automatically crop from the center to fit the card layout. Course card images can still be used for pathways; however, because they are smaller, they may result in reduced image quality when displayed as a pathway banner.
There are now two options for adding images:
Fixed - Manager skills summary wasn't showing profile images
Following the recent release of the Skill Summary for managers, we resolved an issue where profile images were not displaying correctly. Profile images are now showing as expected.
Updated wording for email template SkillLevelChangeRequestApproved
As part of the Skill Summary release for managers, we enhanced the skill level approval workflow.
Previously, managers could only accept a submitted skill level change. Managers can now either approve the submitted change or amend it to a more appropriate level if the assessment is not accurate.
To support this enhancement, we have updated the wording in the SkillLevelChangeRequestApproved email template to better reflect the new approval process. These changes also support an upcoming feature that will allow admins to set users’ current skill levels directly.
