In this article, we'll explain how to edit and delete Skill levels in Learn. Over time, you may choose to adjust these levels to align with your organisations current needs.
Editing a skill level
- Navigate to Settings
- Select Skills
- Select the Edit button next to the level.
- Update the name or description as needed.
- Select Save.
Deleting a skill level
⚠️ Warning: If a skill level is deleted:
- Content tagged with this level will lose it's skill tag
- Skill profiles or user records that include the deleted level will lose that skill
- These associations can't be automatically replaced, as it can't be assumed which level should replace the deleted level, so they must be manually set up again.
- Only the last available level can be deleted
- If all levels are deleted, the default level will revert to 'Achieved' and won't be editable.
- Navigate to Settings
- Select Skills
- Select Delete last level
💡 Pro Tip:
To update your skill levels without having to reassign your skills to content
and users, consider editing the label and description instead of deleting
the skill level.
