Ever wondered what tools the Kallidus team use to make tasks easier?
We know that sometimes working as part of an L&D or HR team can mean a lot of administration. So we've pulled together a list of tools that you might like to take a look at;
Picture or photo editing - Paint.net https://www.getpaint.net/ is a piece of free digital photo editing software that some of our consultants use for small editing tasks.
Checking/editing HTML or code (or any text really) - Notepad++ https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ is a tool used by almost everyone at Kallidus. It's really easy to use and great for coding etc especially if you're not especially technical, but have a technical task to complete.
Compressing video files - Handbrake https://handbrake.fr/ is a great free tool for making videos within content smaller, often used by the Kallidus content team and our consultants alike.
Transferring large files - Wetransfer https://wetransfer.com is great for transferring large files like eLearning content. And what's more, you can either use all the basic features for free. This is a favourite with the Customer Support team as it is so accessible.
Screen recording - Screencast-o-matic https://screencast-o-matic.com is a great tool for recording your screen, you can do voice overs and add notes so it's perfect for sharing knowledge within teams or helping us troubleshoot with you. You can use the basic features for free, or there are subscription options available. This has been used a lot at Kallidus for Knowledge shares.
Optimising images - Tiny PNG https://tinypng.com is great for optimising images for web applications, for example, your Kallidus system.
Matching colours - Eye dropper http://eye-dropper.kepi.cz/ and Colozilla http://www.colorzilla.com are both great browser extensions that can be used to work out RGB and HEX values of colours.
Advanced Colour branding - For the more adventurous amongst you Paletton http://paletton.com is a tool designed for more advanced colour/branding editing. A favourite with our Customer Success Consultants.
