This module focuses on People and Groups. You'll see where people data is stored in every User profile, and also how to manually add Users to Learn.
Then we’ll look at Group Rules – you’ll see how they’re used to automatically assign training. And lastly, primary groups, the mechanism through which line management hierarchy is defined.

User profiles and people data
So where does all your HR data end up, and how is it used? We’ll take a look at a User profile and see in practice, some of the key concepts and principles first communicated in the Big Picture: Users. We’ll also consider how unreliable HR data can impact your day-to-day actions in Learn.
Manually add and manage Users
Sometimes you’ll need to add new Users manually. Perhaps the People Data Feed won’t run before you need a User to get access to Learn? Or perhaps the User will never be added to your HR system, and so never be added automatically by the People Data Feed?
Group rules
See how to automatically add Users to Groups based on anything you know about them. And that could be the HR data you hold, or simply learning they’ve previously completed. Group rules open up a whole world of automation – but always remember – they’re only as effective as the data on which they are based.
