The properties and use for each of the three section types is described on the pages linked above.
The three section options are added to a template using the buttons in the options menu:
All new Sections are added at the end of the review form, immediately above the ‘Review Sign off’ section (if it has not been removed).
For each section added to the review, the following options are available:

The Section (steps) section type
The ‘Steps’ section type is the main building block for a template. Multiple steps sections are added to a typical form, each populated with different types of content. It is the only Section type to which content can be added.
Click ‘Edit’ to view properties of the section:

Choose the rating scale for number scale questions in this section. Only active if the section contains Number scale content. |
Calculate average rating |
Displays below the Section, an average of all answers to number scale questions contained in the Section. See the ‘Calculate average…’ section for more information. |
Steps sections are empty until populated with any one of three types of Section content. See ‘Add content to step sections’ for a description of available content types Text blocks, Text questions or Number scale questions.
The “Overview of ongoing objectives” section type
This Section type is used to insert a reviewees objective into a review. Both the reviewee and reviewer can then rate progress toward achieving individual objectives. Comments and evidence added to the objective by the reviewee will also appear.
Click ‘Edit’ to view properties of the section:

The “Review sign off” section type
This section type is added automatically to every new template. It is a necessary part of any formal review (ad-hoc check-ins may exclude this step, for example).
Both reviewer and reviewee need to sign-off a review in order that it is completed.
