SAP BusinessObjects 4.3 Update

To ensure we continue to serve our customers, we need to complete a security update to our BusinessObjects reporting tool. This latest security update also includes a new look and feel. This will ensure we can continue to support BusinessObjects while our customers adopt our new Reporting solution built on Microsoft Power BI embedded technologies.

What's changing?

There are a number of improvements to security and stability included in the 4.3 update, which means we will be able to support customers while they continue to adopt our new Reporting solution powered by Microsoft Power BI Embedded technologies.

Additionally, the SAP BusinessObjects 4.3 update contains some changes to usability. The main ones being:

• Easier access to report filtering
• Tabs are now located at the top of the screen
• Dimensions are now found on a right hand pane in Design Mode
• Improved variable creation screen
• UI enhancements to make the application more appealing

When is this change happening?

We'll be updating BusinessObjects to version 4.3 on 28th January 2025. This update will mean BusinessObjects is unavailable on this date. BusinessObjects will be available by 29th January.

If you have reports scheduled to run, these will not run while BusinessObjects is unavailable, but will run once the BusinessObjects update is completed.
