What are Playlists?
Most of us are familiar with playlists from platforms like Spotify, YouTube, or podcast apps. They allow you to organise content in a way that’s meaningful to you. Essentially creating a custom folder for easy access and management.
Why use Playlists?
Playlists offer several practical benefits, including:
- Create a personalised learning journey using content from available Catalogues
- Save Courses to complete later, especially those recommended by the AI but not immediately feasible to start
- Create playlists for specific skills you’re developing
- Build playlists for the career paths you’re pursuing
Note: Every user starts with a 'Saved for Later' playlist to make getting started easy.
Create a new Playlist
Follow these steps to create a new playlist:
- Go to the 'Playlist' tab on your 'My Courses' page
- Click on 'Create new playlist'
- Enter a title of your choice (this is a required field)
- Add a description; this is an optional action:
That's it, your playlist is now created and will appear under the 'Playlist' tab
Additional information
Ordering: Playlists are displayed from newest to oldest, with the default 'Saved for later' playlist always appearing first. Currently, reordering playlists manually is not an option.
Playlist Image: The image on playlist cards will be automatically taken from the last Course added. Users cannot upload or choose their own images. If no Courses have been added to a playlist, it will display in an empty state without an image:
Save a Course to a Playlist
To save a Course to a playlist, follow these steps:
- Find the Course you wish to save
- Select 'Add to playlist':
- The Course will now appear in your chosen playlist:
While you can only select one playlist at a time, you can save the same Course to multiple playlists by repeating this process and choosing a different playlist each time.
Edit and delete Playlists
You can easily modify your Playlist by editing its name and description, removing individual Courses, or deleting the entire Playlist if it's no longer needed.
Simply use the edit and delete buttons available in the Playlist view to make these changes.
