You can assign objectives in bulk to groups of people using this functionality. This automates this process.
Step one: Choose which groups you want to be able to assign objectives to
The assignment of objectives can be made to groups. To make this possible, you first need to select the group within the Learn administration area.
Within the group Details page you will see a new option at the bottom of the page.
If you want the group to be visible in Perform them set the toggle to 'Yes'.
Step two: Access the bulk assignments area of Perform
You can access the Bulk assignments feature from the top right hand menu in Perform. This will only show for Perform administrators.
Step three: Undertake a new bulk assignment
Select the + New bulk assignment button to start the assignment.
You will be shown a list of groups which are visible in Perform. Select the group(s) you want to assign objectives to.
Once a group has been selected; the Assign objectives button will appear. Select this to start the assignment.
You can create a new objective or use an existing objective.
At this stage you can choose if you want to this to be 'one-off' assignment or one which auto assigns. If you choose the auto assignment option then this objective will be assigned to new members of that group until the due date is met. Auto assignment should mean you no longer need to keep topping up groups with objectives as this will be done automatically.
Once you have completed the required information then select the Assign objective button. (Please take note of the warning after pressing this button).
Auto assignment - how does it work?
If you have chosen the auto-assignment option then when you first assign an objective the people within that group will get it straight away.
When people join the group(s) that are chosen when assigning the objective then they will also receive the same objective until the due date is passed. When this happens the auto assignment will stop.
You can see which auto assignments are currently active by viewing the Rules tab. This shows whether the rules are active or not, which can help you work out why an objective was assigned.
Auto assignment happens once every 24 hours.
We really want to hear your feedback on this feature. Please do let us know.
